Welcome to Suffolk Coastal Beekeepers Association

We are a group of like minded amateur and small-scale beekeepers with a love of bees. Our association is an arm of the Suffolk Beekeepers Association (SBKA). SBKA is the county group which in turn is affiliated to the UK National British Beekeepers Association (BBKA).

We promote good beekeeping practice and provide a forum for beekeepers to meet, exchange information and provide advice. We welcome anyone genuinely interested in finding out about beekeeping and more. Our senior members have many years' practical experience of keeping bees, are generous with their time and very willing to share their knowledge with people new to the craft.

We support our members by providing a Beginners beekeeping course, an Intermediate beekeeping course, regular outdoor beekeeping demonstrations and use of equipment belonging to the association. We also help in obtaining essential supplies.

For beginners, we have our own club apiary in the area where you can try handling bees and see if you like the experience.
