STUDY GROUP
We will be starting a Study Group for the BBKA Basic next month (May). If you have had bees for a full season you are welcome to join.
There is no expectation to take the assessment. Decide later. Let me know, Penny.

If you want some bees, either a swarm or a nuc with a 2024 queen please get in touch with Penny to add your name to the ‘Bees wanted’ list. Likewise, if you raise a colony and don’t want it, or have a queen that’s surplus to requirements please do get in touch with Penny. It is important that we 'keep bees local' to minimise the spread of pests and diseases. Sourcing bees locally means that they are more likely to be suited to the local environment and flora, you will save money and have bee traceability.
Last year Penny entered and came away with a First, Second and Third. Can you beat that? Entry forms for all classes and products are here: https://www.suffolkbeekeepers.co.uk/suffolkShow.php . The honey judge is Fiona Dickson and if you came along to the 'All About Honey' Fish'n'Chip event - you'll know exactly what she's looking for!
